Our Vision
We enhance women’s health through our software, Gynaecology Plus, supporting the WHO's goal to eliminate cervical cancer. Our innovative solutions, developed with leading gynaecologists and hospitals, focus on clinical excellence and empower healthcare professionals.
Our mission is to provide intuitive tools that adapt to future needs.
Our Story
The early history of Gynaecology Plus is tied to New Zealand’s National Cervical Screening Register which was created in 1990 following the landmark Cartwright Cervical Cancer Inquiry which reviewed the tragic consequences of what is now known as ‘the unfortunate experiment’ where a group of women with CIS were conservatively managed without their consent.
The resulting New Zealand government driven reforms culminated in one of the world's first National Cervical Cancer Screening Registers which also set new, high standards for colposcopy practice and comprehensive clinical auditing requiring New Zealand hospitals to report colposcopy metrics to the National Cervical Screening Programme.
Having the skillsets, experience and capability we recognised an opportunity to support this initiative, building a national reporting function which led to the development of Gynaecology Plus version 1.
A number of experienced gynaecologists were quick to see the software’s potential and agreed to work with us to refine and enhance our software. This close relationship with gynaecologists and their service staff has continued for over 25 years, and today every New Zealand public hospital has transformed their colposcopy service through the combination of increased efficiency, clinical safety and improved two-way integration with the National Cervical Screening Register.
We began working with Telstra Health immediately following the introduction of an Australian National Cervical Screening Register in 2017. The same two-way integration is now in place in Australia. We continue to work in partnership with Telstra Health to achieve the same level of success in Australia that has been achieved in New Zealand.
We have recently introduced six additional clinical services into Gynaecology Plus to bring higher levels of efficiency and clinical safety to the specialties of Hysteroscopy, Early Pregnancy Assessment, Endometriosis, Gynae-oncology, General gynaecology, Gynaecology Surgery and Termination of Pregnancy.
Recently, Gynaecology Plus has undergone redevelopment to become a browser-based, fully cloud-capable solution, reflecting our commitment to technological advancement and accessible healthcare delivery. This evolution ensures that our platform continues to meet the evolving needs of healthcare providers and their patients.
Our journey, centred around a commitment to improving women's healthcare at a regional and country level, demonstrates how thoughtful technological solutions can enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes. Through continuous innovation and collaboration with experienced healthcare professionals, Gynaecology Plus remains at the forefront of gynaecological healthcare.
In New Zealand, this integration with the National Cervical Screening Register has been so successful in ensuring timely, complete and accurate public colposcopy data in the Register that, in addition to all NZ public hospitals, 70% of all NZ private gynaecologists are also now using Gynaecology Plus. As a result Gynaecology Plus now records, and sends to the Register over 95% of all colposcopies performed in New Zealand with a near-term goal of achieving 100%.
